The Reseller’s Guide to Buying Liquidation Pallets
Learn how to evaluate manifests, condition grades, freight costs, resale margins, and common risks before buying wholesale liquidation pallets.
Use Documentation, Not Retail Value Alone
A manifest can help identify products, quantities, stated values, and condition codes, but it is not a guarantee of functionality or resale price. Compare recent sold listings and ask what inspection or testing has been completed for the specific load. For Amazon liquidation, Walmart liquidation, Target liquidation, or Home Depot liquidation claims, request available source documentation; a retailer name alone does not prove direct sourcing or current availability.
Build a Conservative Resale Estimate
Calculate expected revenue from realistic secondary-market prices, then subtract freight, marketplace fees, payment fees, labor, testing, cleaning, replacement parts, packaging, storage, taxes, and an allowance for unsellable merchandise. Resale results vary and are never guaranteed.
